“You either walk inside your story and own it or you stand outside your story and hustle for your worthiness”
Brene Brown
For most of my life I have felt SO unsafe in my body, I was constantly trying to get as far away from myself as possible until one day I made a choice to stand still and fully be seen. And it was in that choice to fully embrace what felt like death was I able to truly FEEL alive and let go of the SHACKLES that had been holding me down for what felt like a lifetime.
#itssafetobesoft is not only about your body and how you see yourself it is so much more. These events and this movement is about self-regulation and BEING SEEN in your magic and your mess. It’s about building TRUST with yourself and making a solid CHOICE to let go!
Â
Getting in the arena of life starts by putting yourself into spaces with people you can trust and be seen with.
Your body cannot only heal and regulate itself from ONLY speaking about, you have to experience things in real time too.
As my soul sister and partner I crime Heidi Anderson calls it EXPOSURE THERAPY,
and that is exactly why DOING the work in this way is so powerful because all your shit comes up and you actually get to physically learn to regulate yourself as the ego screams at you that you are in danger. Babe the danger is not being there being SEEN, the danger is believing that staying small and hidden is actually what is keeping you safe!
(You ego did a beautiful job keeping you safe as a child but what worked for you then WILL NOT work for you as an adult woman)
On Sunday the 17th of October 2021 we held our first #itssafetobesoftevent which had over 40 women come and since then we have been a part of 10 more powerful collaborations all over WA seeing hundreds of women gather their beautiful bodies and hearts and do the fucking thing. (Which can be so bloody scary)
These events shake your soul.
Â
Fears that are faced, the playfulness that is embraced, the tears and vulnerability that is shown. I always say that you walk down to these as one woman and you walk back out as someone that feels like an old best friend.
Â
The thing is that the way you feel about your body impacts all areas of your life. When you show up in this space, in your bathers or underwear AND have your photo taken (knowing that it will be openly shared on social media,
Â
You are UN-FUCKING-STOPPABLE.
Like seriously, everything in your life becomes more possible because you have taken your power back and remember the gift of what happens when we let go and don’t take things so seriously.
